Sur les quatres policiers qui ont été suspendu, il a finalement été décidé d'inculpé Derek Chauvin, le policier qui a étouffé Georges Floyd. Sa caution a été fixé à 500 000 dollars. Une décision qui évidemment est influencée par les émeutes et non prise selon un libre arbitre des autorités qui voulait d'abord une enquête du FBI.
